Overview

What is Domperidone?

Domperidone is an anti-sickness medicine that helps to alleviate the symptoms of nausea and vomiting. It is also prescribed to treat stomach pain by increasing the contractions or movements of the stomach and bowel.

Doctors have also found Domperidon effective with the increase of milk supply for women that are breastfeeding. This is only prescribed to women who are struggling to lactate. Please note, Online Mens Clinic does not prescribe on this basis.

Domperidone has been shown to be effective in preventing stomach problems associated with certain medications for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.

Often referred to by its brand name Motilium, Domperidone is available in tablet or suspension form.

How does Domperidone work?

Domperidone is an antiemetic and a prokinetic medicine. What this means is that it is effective at relieving symptoms of vomiting & nausea (antiemetic) and acid reflux (prokinetic).

Antiemetic medication works by blocking the action of chemicals in the brain that results in feelings of nausea and vomiting.

Prokinetic medications control acid reflux in the stomach. It helps to empty the stomach and digestive tract quicker through increased movements and contractions of the stomach and intestines. It also helps to reduce the feelings of fullness, indigestion and bloating.

How do I buy Domperidone online?

You can safely buy Domperidone online at Online Mens Clinic. You will need to have first an online consultation with our medical doctor before your order will be supplied. The online consultation will ensure that Domperidone is the right medication for your medical condition.

Directions

Domperidone dose amount

Domperidone is sold in 10mg doses and should be taken by adults and children no more than three times per day.

Patients should only use Domperidone for a short period of time - no more than 7 days - at the lowest dosage amount to ensure that the medication has an effect. This will help to mitigate any side effects that the medication might cause.

If using for nausea & vomiting you are able to stop taking it as soon as you are feeling better.

Make sure to follow the guidelines that your doctor has set for taking this medication.

How to take Domperidone

Domperidone is most effective when taken 15-30 minutes before mealtime. Take with a glass of water. Make sure to take the tablets whole, do not crush or chew.

The medication will still work if taken after mealtime, it might just take longer to take effect.
